Who is this Austin Parry?--a bit about his story.
- Throughout Austin’s life, from an early age onwards, people have gravitated towards him when they were challenged by transitions in their life.
He has always seemed to find within him that which was needed to hear their concern and send them away with the wherewithal to move through their challenge, get back on the track and continue their journey.
- He has a powerful belief that all people are magnificent and have within them the seeds of their own greatness.
- He believes that this can so easily be shut off by past experiences. Through his life’s journey he has been privileged to share in the rekindling of this magnificence with a great many people.
- He has a deep desire to assist those who are searching to discover that magnificence in themselves and make it a reality in their lives.
- His initial training was as a priest in the Church, 40 years, on and off,- a story in itself- (left for 18 yrs) (Anglican/Episcopalian tradition)
- However he has also been a labourer, carpenter, and builder, owned, in partnership a million dollar solid timber joinery business, managed a building company, trained sales staff and worked alongside them to create sales for the construction team to build, averaging well over 100 houses a year.
He has worked in new housing sales, set up his own building company and run, with his wife, their own small crops farm.
- He has done a variety of Management Trainings as well as continue to keep up the considerable reading in this area.
- From January 1999 to December 2006 he was the
Priest in charge of a large rural Parish where time management, administration and human resource management are all important, he has also been involved in the management of three individual Community Development organizations, auspicing millions of dollars of Government funds into the community.
A bonus to all this is that he has been privileged to journey with 4 different communities of people holistically in body, mind and spirit.
He left that journey in December 2006 to follow his next
direction, of which Small business and Personal Life
Coaching are a large part of his passion.
- He has reinvented himself many times, always finding that “the light at the end of the tunnel” is never fully turned off. There are always options: however his awareness has been that one sometimes needs assistance to find them.
- He has had bouts of depression, (sadness at why the rest of the world did not see things as he saw them), never resorted to medication but rather sought out wise, mentor, coach type people, to assist him to find his own magnificence, his balance once again.
- He has been married for 44 years to the same beautiful lady, they both know that neither are perfect, they just believe that marriage, like life, needs to be constantly worked on. The challenges that occur daily are there to assist in growth.
- Austin has said, “We could have left each other many times but chose to see the faults within ourselves and work, with what we had, to create the partnership we desired.”
- He believes that the only thing constant in life is change, and is constantly working through the transitions in his own life, both alone and with his coach. He has a passion to assist others to manage their change. (I.e. to be your coach).
- He has qualifications as a Master Practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Time line Therapy and Hypnosis.
He is a Certified Professional Coach having trained with the International Coaching Academy
also called ICA. He is a member of International
Coach Federation also called ICF, worldwide. Where he is
the Professional Development Team Leader of the Queensland
Chapter.
He is a Qualified Coach within the
Beyond Success
Pty Ltd organisation.
He has also completed Coaching and Intuitive development
programs with
The Magician's Way He is the Global Moderator of ICF's Brain-Based Coaching
Special Interest Group which focuses on understanding just
how the brain works in allowing change to occur in people.
He has been part of the Leadership Team for the ICF
Queensland Chapter for 5 years and is in the Role of
President for 2011
- He is constantly reading cutting edge literature relating to philosophy, science, psychology and spirituality so as to be the best aware person he can be, in tune with life, the universe and the rest of humanity.
- He has a coaching style that wants to get to know you and why your challenge is a problem to you, so he can help you get to know you and understand why your challenge is a problem to you. So that you can change how you do life.
- He does not have an agenda of his own when coaching, unless asked.
He doesn’t do “sacred cows”. Nothing is out of bounds, if it is an issue for his client.
He believes coaching is about you, not about him.
- He has a powerful belief that no matter what it is in
life that you do, it should be fun to do and create great
enjoyment and gratitude for life along the way.
